J'Approved's First Event & Fashion Show

J'Approved had its very first event and fashion show at Concordia University in Irvine, CA. My cousins came out to help me with booth sales and setup. So glad to have had their help. The show turned out to be...well...sometimes starting off in this industry you have to sacrifice some things....like...your time. Let's just say it was a very interesting experience to say the least.......

Shemar Moore respects J'Approved

So, some friends and I hung out with Shemar Moore on Superbowl Sunday and I rocked our black and white original "Jesus is my Boo" shirt. Everyone absolutely loved the shirt. Props all day. We got different reactions, but all were positive. Hey, at the end of the day.....was my mission accomplished? Yes! I never want to be forgotten as the girl with the tight yellow pants on rockin' a "Jesus is my Boo" shirt at Shemar Moore's crib....lol....."Who WAS that girl? ha!

Today's topic: DON'T BE DEEP!

I am a very down to earth young women that loves to be a positive inspiration. That's all. Lots of people get it mixed up and twisted that I should be super "deep" because I have a US trademark that says "Jesus is my Boo". Well my line is for EVERYONE! Not just Christians. I am not trying to make this a religious thing by excluding people from wearing my clothes. Those same customers wearing and buying Amercian Apparel we want to wear and buy J'Approved. Lesson for today.....DON'T BE DEEP!

HI EVERYONE!! Welcome to my blog! I am a fashion lover/t-shirt designer slash slash slash!! I am truly a jack of all trades! I have my very own t-shirt company. It's currently only sold online.

Here's my company overview

J'Approved Clothing Company is unique, trendy, and edgy for ALL age groups. I started this clothing line in 2009.

The concept started from a homework assignment that I (M.J. Pippens..that's me) had to participate in while attending college. I had to design a t-shirt line for one of my classes. I happened to have designed one shirt in particular that everybody LOVED to my surprise. It was a simple slogan that stated, "Jesus is my boo.” I thought to myself that this is kind of catchy. So me and best friend Ali Delan wore the shirt around Beverly Hills and many other places in L.A. and were amazed at all the compliments! This inspired Ali and I to create the line, getting our slogan "Jesus is my Boo" TRADEMARKED!
